People the rumors are true: Christmas is fewer than 15 days away. What does this mean? For most us, it just means a lot of credit card debt. Or maybe it's that time of the season where we spend time with those we love. OR maybe it's all about the PRESENTS. We at slcPOMP decided that we wanted to help all those lost souls, who have yet to finish their holiday shopping. The following is a gift guide highlighting a few of the best stores in the SLC. During this season of spend, why not patronize those stores that have what your friends and family really want in stock?
Frosty Darling
Frosty Darling is located on 200 East and Broadway between the Sanns Gallery and Kayo Gallery. Gentry’s button earrings are a wonderfully affordable gift for anyone with piercings.
Vaqueros de Leon
Have you been to the Latino Mall on 2500 South and Redwood Road yet? If not you’re so missing out food-wise, music-wise, culture-wise, and style-wise. The Vaqueros De Leon is situated inside the Latino mall, it specializes it Mexican cowboy attire. We highly suggest the boots (available in almost any color), wallets, and money clips complete with the name of your favorite Mexican state.
10
Why? Why? WHY hasn't there been a load more written about this store? 10 is one of the stores located in the 9th and 9th neighborhood. 10 specializes in urban wear that our state is honestly lacking. Although a lot of its items are pricey due to its high percentage of style, 10 always has a sale rack jam packed with unbelievable finds in shoes, hats, and shirts. We selected a couple of choice items that anyone would want to receive. Check out the awesome hats and shoes.
Positively 4th Street Music
You really have to give it up to this store, for surviving so many moves and managements changes (remember Orion’s in Sugarhouse? The same people are behind this one). Positively 4th not only has a good selection of CDs but also a great selection of vinyl. Plus, but they sell and repair turntables. Maybe it's time to make those DJ dreams a reality for your basement brother or (what the hell) basement grandparents.
Plus, your dad told me he doesn’t need another F.Y.E gift card.
Macha Machete.
MachaMachete is this year’s Internet choice. Made by an L.A. designer, these tote bags are classic canvas with clean badass designs. You could even use one as a gift bag for other presents!
