Dear Reader (that means you),
On Friday night when many people were out on the town, I watched the little counter at the bottom of the screen hit the 1,000 mark. Yes, I am that nerdy.

While 1,000 may be a humble number these days when you're talking about the price of a car, number of songs on your iPod, or times you check your Facebook or Myspace page daily, the thought of 1,000 people stopping by our site in just about a month (our first post was on January 3rd) sort of makes me hyperventillate. Especially when the daily visit numbers keep climbing.

So, you're probably thinking, "When's she going to get to the point?"

I don't have one. But for the same reason that I can stare at a computer screen and hit the refresh button until a four-digit number pops up under "Visitors", I can also make sentimental entries in sheer, neurotic excitement. Woody Allen style. Because who's more of an icon than Woody?
